“An Attitude of Gratitude”

This article title may make me sound smarter than I am, but it’s a simple concept.   Are you living a life of thanksgiving? Your attitude has a lot to do with that. Gratitude “is a positive emotion or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive.”

The key here is being positive. Should not Christians be more positive? We have too much pessimism and antagonists around us. If we join in, where’s our hope? Where’s our gratefulness? We say that God is in control, but do we really live that way? We say that we are so thankful for our blessings, but do we always want more? We know that Christians are supposed to be humble, but do we place ourselves first more often than not?

Count your blessings today. Don’t compare yourself to everyone else. Learn to be content. Learn to live out the instructions given to us in Romans 15:4-6 “ For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. “
