Dirty Knees and Foreheads....

We are afforded many privileges as citizens of this great country in which God has placed us. But I believe one
of the greatest privilege we have is-PRAYER. Can you imagine life without it? It would be a life truly devoid
of HOPE. I can think of no other time (than in prayer) where I feel most close to God...most close to Christ.

About three years ago I started a prayer journal which has been a true blessing in the nurturing of my prayer
life. It helps me to contemplate life...and honestly pour out my thanksgivings, cares and petitions to our
Father...and no doubt you (the congregation) are in there...a lot.

Brothers and sisters, I believe now is the time for us to pray even morefervently for this congregation, this
world, our country, our leaders, our soldiers, the sick, the poor, each other and most of all for the work we,
the Church, have been called upon to do... Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation
(Mark 16:15).

Prayer is a privilege and a must.....Our Father who art in heaven...it is you who hath made us and not we
ourselves; Hallowed be thy name... your name is above all names; Thy Kingdom come...reign in and rule over our
hearts; Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven...remove all selfishness and pride that lies within us;
Give us this day our daily bread...help us study and meditate on your word daily; And forgive us our debts, as
we forgive our debtors... we all fall short of your glory... we sin...forgive us; And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil...protect us God from the Evil One; For thine is the Kingdom, and the power
(we have none) and the glory-forever (you are Alpha/Omega-the Great I AM). Amen I will lift up mine eyes unto
the hills from whence cometh my help. (Psalms 121:1)
