Don't Give Up
Do you ever want to give up? Do you ever want to throw in the towel and say that's it, I've had all I can stand? As we go through life we often become frustrated with work, family, friends and, yes, even our brothers and sisters in Christ. It sometimes doesn't seem to be worth the fight. Dealing with problems at church or with family and friends. That too often seems to be the way a lot of people get through life. Take the easy way out instead of putting forth a little effort to solve problems or work on relationships that sometimes become difficult. Too often we look at our problems and truly make them much bigger than they are.
As I watched the news and saw all the people in Haiti clinging to a small amount of food or a couple bottles of water it helped me to realize most of our problems are minor. My prayer is that this church body never gives up as we think about all the good that has been done in the past and all the potential we have to do in the future. Galatians 6 : 7-10 says, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
May God bless each and everyone of you in your good works.
