Enriching Families

Just a couple months ago we had a family devotional at the Perkins’ home where I shared my thoughts and ideas for planning more family focused events. In our US culture of go go go and do do do each day begins and ends and we wonder where the time went and how our kid grew up so fast. There will always be those moments of regret where you wish you had spent more quality time with your kids and less time being so busy.

This January we want to offer the teens and parents an opportunity they will not regret. Bill Sink and Sam Williams will be teaching a men’s class on the book “Fathered by God” by best selling author John Eldredge. Karen Fitzpatrick will be teaching a women’s class on the book “Captivating” by John and Stasi Eldredge. I want to challenge every father and son and mother and daughter to be a part of these classes. I know that these classes will bless your lives and help you to grow closer as you discuss God’s plan for our lives as men and women who want to trust, understand, and love God more deeply everyday.

Karen suggests that the women who have picked up a book go ahead and read the first chapter. She has ordered more books since all of the ones from the first order are gone already. A suggested donation per book is $12.50 to be placed in the offering plate.
