Finish the Race

Have you ever set a goal that you did not accomplish? Have you ever made a New
Year’s resolution that you lacked the perseverance to follow through with? In these
cases we often need accountability, someone who will make sure that we stick to
our guns. As you think of ways this week to encourage someone, think of our youth
and their desires to draw closer to the Lord. Hold them accountable and encourage
them along their journey.

Courtney B. has been a blessing to many who may not even know it. She comes week
after week to help Diane Land prepare the food on Wednesday night. Courtney has
the heart of a servant. She set a goal back in September to make the A/B honor roll and
desires to be more consistent completing her homework.

Jacob L. has been very busy lately with a major accomplishment at school. He recently
won the State Science Fair with an experiment on obesity using quite a few rats. Jacob’s
main goal for the year has been to have a more Christ-like attitude at home.

Please pray for perseverance for Courtney and Jacob this week. Make sure you take
time to stop and lend an encouraging word to our youth today.
