He Is the Reason for the Season

Isn’t it amazing how our American society continues to attempt to take Jesus out of this holiday season (politically correct). Oh yes, we too, as Christians, can get caught up in the frenzy of purchasing all kinds of interesting items for our families and other people. We have “Black Fridays” and “Cyber Monday's”… and finally get around to remembering the birth of Christ annually and most importantly His death and subsequent resurrection. We should be ever more thankful for the Lord’s Supper — the Communion experience that we share each first day of the week. Let us lay hold to the true essence of this holiday season (politically correct). “For unto us was born a Savior wrapped in swaddling clothes …Born in a manger… Born in Bethlehem … A Savior which is Christ our Lord,” Luke 2:1 -14. Find someone … find some family and make their holiday season (politically correct) a special one this year. Share with them the greatest gift anyone could ever give another person — the Gospel, the Good News, 1Cor.15:1-4, and the hope of eternal life found only through Him and in Him, Titus 3:5-7. I know it is not politically correct but “Merry Christmas”.
