Making An Impact Intentionally and Eternally

Why do we do what we do? There's so much value in asking this question in our busy , fast-paced world where there are more options than ever. No one person is the same in his day-to-day life and activ ities, it seems. Yet, we try to come together somehow. There's both our challenge and our calling as individual Christians and the church.

Time is so precious. I understand that. Every one seems to be doing so much. That is why we do what we do with a purpose. Sometimes we meet to worship. Sometimes we meet to pray. Sometimes we meet to study the Bible. Sometimes we meet to share our lives together. Sometimes we meet for fun and fellowship. Sometimes we meet to reach out to others. Sometimes we meet to do service. Sometimes we meet to honor God in other ways, but we never meet just because!

With this in mind, how often do you meet with the church? Is it a priority for you like other things in your life? Do you know what the church is doing so that you can be involv ed? Is it even feasible or conv icting to ask you to compare how much time you spend doing things for and with the church compared to everything else? We value what we spend the most time doing! Know this today with great certainty. The church respects your time and your freedom to plan what to do with your time. However, when we plan things for the church to participate in it's always with a purpose. Most of the time, these things can have a lasting impact beyond the event itself. That's because the impact is foreseen as intentional and eternal. Will you please consider and commit toward being more aware and involved in the workings of the church? If you will, you will not regret it.
