Pathfinders Never Stop Serving

I would like to take this time to recognize a very special group of individuals who may have retired from professions where they earned an income, but have not retired from serving God. The Pathfinders do some extraordinary things. Just this past week we witnessed some of their work. It started Tuesday at the blood drive where Wes Davis took the lead in coordinating and putting forth a lot of time and effort to make  a successful event. But he couldn’t do it alone. As soon as you walk in to the Blood Drive you are greeted and helped by several other members of the Pathfinders who sacrificed their time to be there and help out in any way needed. Today we see the Harvest Sunday effort where Finis and several other Pathfinders will collect and separate many bags of food. Then they will distribute them throughout the area to help those who otherwise would do without. I think about the prophetess Anna who is talked about in Luke chapter 2:36-38 where it tells how she worshipped day and night, fasting and praying.
This church family is truly blessed to have men and women who even though they are long in life still dedicate their time to serving God and their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Let’s truly take the time to thank them each and every chance we get for all that they do.     In Christian Love,     — Duncan Blake
