Back to School Prayer Walk
Join us for our third annual Back to School Prayer Walk this Tuesday at 5:30pm. As summer of 2008 comes to close, I think of all the memories our youth made on activities like VBS with Brentwood Hills, the hard work and lessons learned in Jellico, the chilling waters of the French Broad on the father/son canoe trip, the mother/daughter tea party and pottery painting at the Blake’s, and last but not least West Memphis Kid’s Camp. It has been an amazing summer but it always seems to come to an end.
Our Asheville students began school on August 14th and Hendersonville starts
tomorrow. There are many pressures that come with a new school year. More will be expected of them this year. They will make new friends and continue
relationships with old ones. God will put opportunities in their path that will help them grow a deeper love for Him, pray that they seize them. There will be
stressful deadlines for papers, times when they will want to give up, times when
everything could not be better and times when they are tempted to cheat on
homework. Be a prayer warrior for these students, teachers, and administrators as this school year begins. May God give them the strength and perseverance to take the love of Jesus into the Henderson and Buncombe County school systems.
