The Mission

Winterfest is truly an AWESOME event that takes place every year Gatlinburg, TN soon after Valentine’s Day.  It feels as though it is a glimpse of Heaven as described in Revelation 7 starting in verse 9.  No words can describe what it is like to sing praises to God with 6,5oo teens and adults.
 
All of us who attended Winterfest this year were challenged to Know Jesus, See Jesus, and Be Jesus. To Know Jesus we must study his wonderful word.  To See Jesus we must realize that when we serve and care for others, we are serving and caring for Jesus (see Matthew 25:37–40).
 
Finally, the teens were equipped with a red New Testament that says “The Mission” on the front of it. Jeff Walling challenged them to carry these Bibles with them to every class for the next 30 days and use it as a tool get conversations started about the hope we have in Jesus Christ. So, as you see our youth throughout the day today, make sure you ask them about their week and how God is using them to reach their friends with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
