Who Are The Champions?
This past Sunday millions and millions of people sat around and watched one of the highest rated Super Bowls of all times. Two teams who put hours and hours into training to reach the pinnacle of their profession. Whether you were cheering for the Packers or the Steelers you had to be impressed by the physical condition that these men have obtained by hours and hours of hard work dedicated to winning the Super Bowl. There are alot of accolades given to the champions. The winners get to receive the Lombardi Trophy that they can call their own. But with all that being said these memories are short lived. If I were to ask you who won the super bowl in 2005 I would guess that less then half of you would know. God challenges us to put our hope not on things of this world but on things eternal. Matthew 6: 19-21 says "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth were moth and rust destroy and were theives break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven were moth and rust do not destroy and were thieves do not break in and steal for where your treasure is there your heart will be also." Let me challenge each of us to being dedicated to our Christian walk as these players are to their profession and we'll receive a crown of righteousness.
