Growth Groups Ministry

The purpose of the growth group ministry is to offer a means for both church members and non-members to come together for the purpose of discussing biblical topics together in a non-threatening, informal environment of a small group of people. The topics are intended to demonstrate how the Bible can be used as a guide and information source for how to live as God would want us to live. Members of each group are encouraged to invite their friends to the meetings in order to attract outsiders to God’s Word and thereby grow His church.

Presently, we have eight groups meeting throughout the region in various communities; one of these groups meets at the building. Growth groups generally meet on the first three Sunday evenings of each month (excluding the summer months of June, July, and August). Each week, one of the leaders of the group will be prepared to lead a biblically-based discussion on the topic of interest. The groups are currently set up such that all groups are studying the same material.

We would love to have you join one of our groups to observe how the bible can be applied to your own life! This fall, we have been studying the topic of “Does Your Faith Work?” as we delve into the book of James. For the upcoming winter and spring months (Jan – May ), we will be looking at a series based on selected parables and proverbs. You may also want to pick up the latest brochure, which lists where the groups are meeting and the topics being discussed. Another good brochure of interest is “Are Small Groups Right For Me?” which is available at the foyer desk.
