Dear Family and Friends,
Over the past several years the Hendersonville Church of Christ has helped support the work of “Mission Lazarus” in Honduras. This missionary work was started by Jarrod Brown and his family. Specifically, our funds provide a Preacher Training School that prepares Honduran men to share the gospel with their own people. Now another “door of opportunity” is opening: the elders and the church family will send a dedicated team of Teens and Adults to Honduras this summer (2012). They will provide physical assistance with several on-going projects in Honduras. Our team will be building additional facilities, delivering food to needy residents, conducting a Vacation Bible School, assisting with an orphanage, and will conduct a medical/dental clinic.
As Christians we have been commanded by Christ to “go into the entire world and preach the gospel.” This team will be “going … and teaching” as they assist in building new facilities and as they teach by word and example in caring for others. Most of us cannot go to Honduras to do this work. But we must remind ourselves we are in the top “1 % of the world’s population with the resources to do such a work.
If you wish to be a partner in this mission and to have fellowship in this work we have been commanded to do, please consider a financial gift to help with the cost of the trip and the projects. You may make your check payable to the Hendersonville Church of Christ and give it to one of the elders, a Mission team member, or simply place it in the offering basket marked as “Honduras Mission.”

May the Lord bless you,
